Capabilities Owned
Platform engineering with global ownership: Application Platform, cloud integration, AI infrastructure
The Bengaluru team owns core components of Guidewire’s Application Platform: developer experience tooling, cloud-native integration services, and the AI infrastructure layer powering the entire global product. These are mission-critical systems used daily by insurers across North America, Europe, and APAC. The India mandate covers global production systems throughout.
Leadership Depth
Co-located product, engineering, and leadership; India MD holds global VP-level accountability
Mohammed Anzy S (VP Engineering & MD, India) leads with explicit global accountability for platform engineering. Product management, engineering, and senior leadership are co-located in Bengaluru, compressing decision cycles and giving India genuine charter over architectural direction. Architectural calls are made locally, with the authority to shape global platform decisions.
ESG & DEI Signals
ElevatED by Guidewire: engineering scholarship and mentorship for underprivileged female students in India
ElevatED combines financial support with structured mentorship and skill development for women from underprivileged backgrounds pursuing engineering. For an engineering-focused GCC in a domain perceived as narrow, this program reflects deliberate investment in pipeline breadth; the goal is expanding who enters the talent pool, at its foundation. It is Guidewire India’s most visible social commitment.
Second HQ Mandate
India as a quarter of Guidewire’s global workforce by 2028; dual-engine model of engineering and professional services
Guidewire’s India strategy is a declared commitment: from approximately 500 employees today to 1,000 by end-2028, representing close to 25% of the global workforce. The next growth phase is in professional services; client-facing implementation work with PwC, Capgemini, and TCS will grow alongside the existing engineering base. This dual-engine model gives India a more complete presence in Guidewire’s value chain than pure-engineering GCCs achieve.
Tech Stack
Cloud-native enterprise stack: Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, React, Apache Camel, LLM integrations, RAG frameworks
The Bengaluru build runs on a modern cloud-native stack with no legacy tech debt. Java and Spring Boot anchor the backend; AWS and Kubernetes handle infrastructure at production scale; React and JavaScript power frontend layers. Apache Camel manages integration; TeamCity and Git handle CI/CD. The AI layer adds an LLM gateway, a RAG service, and an agentic framework; all three are being built for the entire global platform by the Bengaluru engineering team
